Shawna Duske MS, ARNP

Shawna Duske has been involved at Midwest Cardiovascular Research Foundation as a sub investigator on many studies. She has been a regular speaker at CIPG every year. She has been working at Cardiovascular Medicine as a nurse practitioner for 15 years. Shawna has worked in clinical, hospital, and diagnostic settings along with management to gain a vast background of knowledge in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Shawna attended Wartburg College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1993. She attended Grandview College, graduating in 1996 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She furthered her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing and completing the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program in 2005. 

Shawna is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Quad City APN/PA Alliance and the American College of Cardiology.

Shawna’s professional interests include preventive cardiology. 

Shawna and her family have lived in the QCA for the last 20 years. Her personal interests include spending time with her children, tennis, golf, and fitness.
